IMPORTANT

The Sentient EOD Trial works with all compatible data formats available in Sentient Trader, however users of the EOD Trial might find that the easiest way to get started would be to use Ninja Trader data.

NinjaTrader and KineTick data is recommended for the EOD Trial, because EOD data is provided Free of Charge and Kinetick cover a broad range of popular instruments with their EOD data feed.

If you read nothing else in this User Manual and decide to use NinjaTrader and Kinetick for your EOD Trial, you must please follow these two processes:

Install Ninja Trader.
Setup Ninja Trader to receive free EOD data.

What's in the EOD Trial

We provide a trial version of Sentient Trader - EOD so that you can discover for yourself the power of the software and gain experience working with it in preparation for using Sentient Trader to revolutionize your trading.

The EOD Trial includes most of the important features of Sentient Trader - Analyst Edition including :-

Cyclic Analysis of any instruments you can obtain market datafor
Cycle Troughs identified using Hurst's Notation
Hurst Tools (FLDs, VTLs, etc) to identify Troughs and Peaks in the market
Buy and Sell Turning Points
Set Alerts (on-screen, email, iPhone, etc) on Hurst Tools
Build Custom Nominal Model
Pin Cycle Troughs to influence the analysis with your own opinion.

PLUS - The EOD Trial includes most of the important features of Sentient Trader - Trader Edition including :-

Generate Trading Signals using Hurst Trading Methodology, i.e. order entry and exit levels, stop loss, target, P/R ratio, etc.
Click To Trade feature, to understand and select trades with Roll and Click of your mouse
Orders sent to integrated online brokers
Set Alerts for Action Signals and Trades (on-screen, email, iPhone, etc) on Hurst Tools.

What's Not Included in the EOD Trial

The EOD Trial does not include :-

Building Scanlists
Portfolio Manager
Commonality Database
Sentient Trading Methodology.

These features are immediately available upon upgrading to a full Node License for Sentient Trader.

To use real-time data, you will need to upgrade from the EOD Trial to a full license for an Intraday Version of Sentient Trader.

Moving On....

The software is not difficult to use - on the contrary, it is very easy to use ... perhaps too easy!

What do we mean by this? Well, it is relatively easy to create a chart, click on the analyze button, and receive in return trading signals ... the problem is that an inexperienced user might well generate inappropriate trading signals which would be misleading and potentially dangerous to their financial well-being.

In order to make the most of your trial of Sentient Trader it is important that you get set up properly, and follow our getting started process.

Let's get started now by downloading and installing Ninja Trader (which is free), and which is required to provide you (via Kinetick) with free data to create your workspaces.
