A watchlist is simply a list of workspaces which Sentient Trader is able to scan through automatically. There are two types of scans that Sentient Trader
is able to perform on a watchlist. They are:
A Forecast Scan: this scan opens up each workspace
in the watchlist, updates the analysis if necessary, and then collects information
about when the next trough of each cycle (longer than or equal to the trading cycle)
is expected to occur. This information is very useful for scheduling your trading,
because you know when you expect to be trading (particularly useful for Intraday
Sentient Trader users who can work out at what time of day they are expecting their
trading cycle to form its next trough).
A Full Scan: this scan opens up each workspace
in the watchlist, updates the analysis if necessary and then makes all trading decisions
for that workspace, including:
Monitoring open trades (setting appropriate
exits).
Deciding upon entry levels for new trades.

by using the menu Tools > Edit Watchlist.
