You will come across specific terms in these notes (FLD, VTL, and so on). Rather than explain them each time, you will find definitions here: guidance notes for Hurst cycles terminology.
Natural Gas – counter-trend 40 day cycle is rising.
The analysis suggests that the early August price low is a 20 week cycle trough. Its also feasible, however, that the trough four sessions ago was the 20 week cycle trough displaced forward in time, but the problem with this is that it makes the last 80 day cycle too long. We are going with the early August low. If price launches up through the 20 day VTL here, we will take another look, because that could favour the later position for the big cycle low. We believe that price will creep a little higher, hit the 40 day cycle peak zone just above and then fall in on itself towards an 80 day cycle trough zone due around the end of the month.
